Glasses
Yes, I wore my new glasses while teaching last Sunday. It was a weird experience for me but I’m trying my best to get used to them.
When I was a kid, I used to wish I could wear glasses because I wanted to be like Superman. As I grew up though, I realized that wearing glasses probably wasn’t as much fun as I had imagined as a kid. (Smart, huh?) Well, now that I’ve been wearing them for several days I can state for a fact that there isn’t much excitement involved…other than the mockery you receive from others, like your staff. :)
I’m still not sure I like the frames I picked out. I never really notice styles of glasses before and I never thought about what style of frames I’d wear. Amy helped me pick them out and I think we did a good job but I’m still a little uncertain.
Regardless, my glasses make me feel older. I think that make me look older too. I’m just hoping that make me look more distinguished too.
