Churchplanters.com Conference (Day 2)
The second day of the conference was just as great at the first. I got there a little late (sometimes there are things that are more important that conferences in our lives) but Perry Noble was truly incredible. I really appreciate his honesty and his wisdom.
Perry seems gifted in a lot of ways but the thing that stands out to me the most is that he is amazingly tenacious in regards to sticking to the vision God gave him for his church. The truth is that most churches start to experience vision drift after they launch but a wise pastor is constantly monitoring the church in light of the original vision and makes mid-course corrections to assure that everything stays on target.
I’m planning on taking a team of key leaders from our church to Perry’s Unleash conference in March and I can’t wait!
Another big highlight of the day was getting to spend a little time with Tadd Grandstaff and his team over lunch. I don’t know if I communicate it enough to Tadd but I’m really excited about what God is doing in him and through him AND his team. I know God is going to accomplish great things as these guys launch. I’m proud that Mill Creek is playing a small role in that church plant.
It was also cool to get to talk with Jeff Murphy of Big Sky Church. Jeff and his worship pastor, Chip, joined us all for lunch and we all had a great time. Jeff and I pastor churches that are so close geographically and we seem to hang out in the same circles but we haven’t connected that much in the past. I’m hoping that we can correct that in the near future.
I would have to say that the conference overall was awesome. It’s a great mix of passionate speakers AND times of connections with other pastors. I’m already planning on having my team there again next year.
To Shawn and David AND all the sponsors, volunteers and speakers, I just want to say thanks for all the hard work and dedication that goes into this conference every year. It’s worth every penny we paid to go and then some….but don’t raise the prices based on that comment. 
I also want to especially thank Perry Noble for what he shared today. Perry, you impacted me greatly. Thank you for your obedience to the Holy Spirit. You refreshed and inspired me.
