Thoughts about life, church planting, and other things.
I was reminded of this quote again today…
‘Nothing would be done at all if a man waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault with it.’
- Cardinal Newman

Isn’t that the truth!!!
One of the things that keeps me going when I am tempted to think that way (which for me is really just masked procrastination) is the Bible verse (or it may not even be a Bible verse…but it’s in the Bible?) about how we should do our part and rely on God for the results. Something about that makes it easier for me to actually do stuff or take action because I feel like, “OK Lord, I’m going to keep doing what I think is my part, but its’s going to stink to high heaven if you don’t jump in there”…The underachiever in me likes that the ownership or the results are someone elses (Gods). It makes me want to start without worry that it’s not perfect or “just right”. Make sense?
Oh, and please, if anyone knows where the verse is in the Bible about doing your part and relying on God for the results, please let me know. I reference it too much not to know where that is!!!
