What a great day we had at Mill Creek yesterday! It’s so very good to remind ourselves of why we do what we do at our church and yesterday’s message gave me an opportunity to hit on that. Obviously, this is something that I’m very passionate about and it showed as I preached my message.
The bottom line is that God wants to use our church both collectively and as individuals to reach our community for Him. He’s passionate about reaching those that don’t know Him and He wants us to be passionate too.
I know that some folks in the church had never really seen me as fired up as I was yesterday but when I preach on the vision and purpose of the church AND God’s heart for the lost, I get very…well, um…fired up!
I’m so very thankful for our incredible church and what God is doing in our midst. As I said yesterday, I believe we are in the middle of a season of transformation at Mill Creek and I can’t wait to see God’s plan unfold for us as we seek and serve Him.
Tony,
You were on fire yesterday! Patti and I think this is the first time in the two years we’ve been at Mill Creek that we’ve heard you talk about Hell.
I know you prefer to focus on the positive, and I know that talking about Hell can scare off some people. But, it’s a hard fact that people have to be able to grasp.
If you want to find someone that can talk bout hell and witness on why we should accept God’s gift and not have to go there – talk to someone that has been severly burned. They have an insight into the suffering that I hope none of us ever experiance first hand.
