Kathy, we've already decided that Unicoi is going to be our first real camping destination. I've never heard of Moccasin Creek park but we'll definitely check it out. Thanks for the tip!

Some of the best memories with my kids are when we took all three camping. The youngest had to be at least 4 or 5 years old and she loved it too. The boys loved camping at Unicoi State park and Moccasin Creek State park where they have a Junior Ranger program where they can earn badges for nature activities life making casts of animal foot prints and fly fishing lures. Some of our best vacations were so there and so cheap too!

As Patti & I LOVE to camp, we can give you some great places to go.
Sticking close to home, try the Campground at Lake Lanier Islands. Ft. Yargo St Park in Winder has a GREAT campgound with bathhouses and a wqonderful swim beach.

If you really want to head off, I can show you one of the best places in the world to camp. It's about a 2 hour drive, but I'll gladly take a Friday off and drive you up there for a tour. Here's some shots from one of our camping trips up there...
