Sunday Night Brain Dump
- I’m absolutely loving the weather. This is my favorite season by far.
- The churchplanters.com 2008 conference, Evolve, is looking very, very strong. I think I’m going to take a big team. (There are a ton of great speakers teaching at this thing.)
- Sometimes your staff leans on you. Sometimes you lean on your staff. Today, I leaned on my staff and they did a great job. (Special shout out to the “Kiddo!”)
- I love wedding vow renewal services. It’s great to see the couples recommit. I had so many couples tell me that it almost means more to then than the first time they said their vows because they can just relax and really pay attention to the whole process. Very cool!
- Angela’s preaching next weekend and I just know that she’s going to do an amazing job. She’s so very gifted. We’re blessed to have her at Fusion.
- I about broke my toe on Friday. Most of my body went around the ottoman in our living room but my little toe decided to go the other way. It’s a now a lovely shade of purple. It was killing me all day.
- I’m looking forward to my vacation. I’m hoping to find some time to blog a bit while we’re away. I’ve got some things I’ve been wanting to say here but I just can’t seem to find the time.
- Everybody went crazy for the “All In” poker chips today. I sure hope people use them to invite their friends and don’t try to cash them in at some casino!
- The “All In” series is going to be awesome. I can’t wait for it to start. Do whatever you need to do to get your friends there.
- The music this morning was absolutely amazing. Seth and the rest of the team did a great job. The unplugged approach was very different for us but it worked so well with our theme.
- The volunteers at Fusion amaze me to no end. You guys are awesome! (Special shout out to Nathan Lee!)
- The entire special events team did an incredible job throughout this series. The reception today was so cool. I loved watching all our folks just hanging around and enjoying the weather, the food and each other. We need more opportunities to fellowship together like that.
- Can’t wait to go to the Gladiator’s game with all the fusioneers!
- I’m already missing Shannon like crazy and it hasn’t even been a full week yet! I feel so grandfatherly towards Noah!
- Ren Buckland is one amazing dude.
- I’m thinking about starting a new men’s fusion group this semester. I’m so busy but I’m feeling like the Lord may be leading me to do it. Stay tuned.
- Speaking of staying tuned, I’ve got some big announcements to make in the coming weeks. Be looking for them.
- I was got to spend some time this week with a couple of church planters talking shop and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. (Thanks for the danishes…and the great questions, guys!)
- I downloaded the latest J Moss album (V2) and I’m really digging it.
- I’ve got to go to bed.

I thought the acoustic set went really well, but when you mentioned on the calling post message that Seth was doing something new with the music this week, this is what I was really hoping for.
