I feel asleep last night writing this but I figured I’d go ahead and post it this morning anyway.
- Amy and I had a great time at lunch today with Davis and Angie Hipps (and their kids). They are some of the greatest people in the world.
- I’m so very excited about Adam deWeber joining our team. I made the announcement today at church and everybody was really pumped about it. Very cool.
- The stage and lobby areas looked absolutely awesome today.
- I continue to be amazed at how hard our volunteers work. I think we’re all going to have a blast at the gladiators game. I can’t wait for all of us to have the opportunity to just hang out together.
- Tony & Dana Matthews (our original refreshment team leaders) surprised everyone by showing up at church today. The word on the street is that they have moved back to the Atlanta area. I hate it that I didn’t get a chance to see them this morning.
- Is there anything that Ren Buckland can’t do?
- I had a hard time getting into a rhythm with my messages today. I think it went a lot better with the second service though.
- We had a TON of visitors today and the second service was packed. That’s very cool.
- I love Fusion Church.
- My hat is off to Danice Eaton. She works so very hard.
- I got the strangest prayer request that I’ve ever had in 20 years of ministry. I’d tell you guys about it but I can’t.
- Gary Lamb and I talked on the phone for a bit today. I just love that guy. He cracks me up. I’m genuinely excited about what’s brewing at Revolution.
- I’m excited about my men’s group starting up again. I think it’s going to be great. If you’re a guy that goes to Fusion you need to be in this group.
- I’m hoping to blog more this week than in weeks past. Of course, I think that every week.
- Jaxon Bennett and I wore near identical shirts today which just proves that he’s got good taste.
- I think I’m fighting a cold or something. I’m not feeling too hot.
- Seth did a great job creating our video bumper. It looked great.
- Stevie Wonder is coming to town again. I normally don’t do concerts because I hate crowds but I’m seriously thinking about trying to go to this one. Hmmmm.
- I’m really digging the music of Marvin Sapp these days.
Danice is amazing, she is assisting with the volunteer area and without her help I would go crazy.
Okay, you have too many points for me to comment on all of them, but it was a real treat for us to get to eat with the McCollum family. I mean you guys are way up there with the Rekstens in regards to coolness factor. I am also very excited about Adam joining the Fusion family although our children won’t be teenagers for a few more years (thank goodness). And I appreciate Denice’s hard work as well.
Tony-We were SO SAD that we didn’t get to hug on you after church last week. Thanks for the voice mail. By the way, we’ll be stalking you again next Sunday…so keep an eye out for us. Listening to you last Sunday was like getting to eat a big yummy filet mignon after 4 years of hamburger helper. Love you guys!!
Dana! I was so sad to hear that I missed you guys too. I’m excited about having a chance to reconnect this Sunday! I love you guys.
