- I preached sick today. I don’t think it was too noticeable. I was definitely struggling during the second service though. I was burning up. I thought I was going to burst into flames and then collapse. Thankfully, neither of those things happened and I made it through.
- I came home right after the services and crashed hard this afternoon. I felt like I was in a coma. Now I’m wide awake.
- Shannon comes back to the office tomorrow! Hallelujah! I just love Shannon (Who doesn’t?) and I’ve truly missed her at the office.
- Speaking of missing folks, my family has been out of town for almost a week and they return tomorrow. I can’t express how bad I’ve missed them. I can’t wait to see all of them…especially my wife. Is there anybody more wonderful and amazing than my beloved wife? I don’t think so!
- This movie looks funny to me.
- I’ve never seen an episode of The Family Guy until this week. I saw a rerun coming on and I decided to watch some of it. That was a big mistake. I’m not sure but I think I might be going to hell now. (It was awful.)
- I keep trying to shorten my sermons and they just get longer. I’m going to try to lengthen them and see what happens.
- The great Charlie Pharis will be preaching for us this coming weekend. Charlie always does such a great job for us. I know it’s going to be awesome.
- Emma, our dog, will be very glad for the family to return too. Her life is pretty dull when I’m the only one around the house.
- I’m going to write a post about this later but the truth is that when people leave a church they usually do it for the wrong reasons.
- Our furnace is acting funny again.
- I think I want an Amazon Kindle.
- I’m looking forward to going to one service through the holidays. That should be a lot of fun.
- When Amy’s out of town, I end up eating a lot of cereal. (Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch is the only real cereal, BTW.)
- I love Gary Lamb. He’s the real deal.
- I thought this post from Steven Furtick was dead on.
- Corey Mann’s blog is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
- Adam did a good job with the super soakers today. :)
- Seth and the worship team rocked the house this morning.
- My wife is coming home tomorrow!!
- I believe that the messages I’ve taught the last two weeks have been some of the most important messages I’ve ever taught. (Fusion folks, apply those principles!)
- I’ve only watched a little bit of MadTV but I’m convinced that it’s not funny. Then again, SNL isn’t funny most of the time either.
- I’m very thankful for Angela. She always does such an awesome job on Sundays.
- I LOVE these top ten management commandments from the fake Steve Jobs. Too true.
- We have so many new people at the second service these days that I don’t think I recognize half of them. (That’s a good problem to have, BTW.)
- I’m not sure if this Turducken sounds good or not. I think I’d like to try it at least once.
- The cast for this movie is really starting to come together. This movie has a lot of potential. I hope they don’t blow it.
- Bryan Reksten makes me laugh.
- I want one of these for my office.
- Did I mention that my wife is coming home tomorrow???
