Thoughts about life, church planting, and other things.
I thoroughly enjoyed lunch yesterday with Charlie Pharis. Charlie is quite possibly the nicest guy in the world. Truthfully, the only other guy I know that’s close to being as nice as Charlie is Davis Hipps. Come to think of it, I’d really like to lock the both of them in room and watch them have a nice-off! It would go on for days and days. Anyway, I count myself blessed to have friends like Charlie and Davis.
I'm Tony McCollum and this is my personal blog. The opinions expressed here are my own and not those of my church or anyone else. In addition, my thoughts and opinions change from time to time. I consider this a necessary consequence of growing with God. In other words, I'm allowed to disagree with myself!

I’d let Charlie win.

Okay, this post made me crack up. I totally want to see that nice-off sporting event. Davis really is one of the nicest people I have ever met. That is certainly one reason I fell madly in love with him. I like Charlie to, but I don’t know him as well.

Putting Davis and Charlie in the same room might result in a vortex of pleasantness that would upset the nice-mean continuum. I wouldn’t recommend it.

No, Davis…you go ahead and win…really, I insist. Well, only if you want to win, that is… :)

I’ve known Davis for years, people. We even attended the same elementary school, were in high school together, etc. All I can say about this “rumor” about Davis being too nice is…well…crap. It’s true. He really is that nice. There’s nothing negative I can dig up on him!
