I could make long lists of prayer requests for our church but, if I had to pick one request, I’d ask you all to pray that Fusion hits its full potential. 

Nothing bothers me more than wasted potential.  It just gets under my skin for some reason.  I think God wired me that way because when I look at people, more often than not, all I see is potential!

Now, I’m going to be very honest and open here and tell you that I have this nagging feeling that Fusion is no where near hitting its full potential.  Deep in my spirit I sense that we could and should be doing so much more.  I feel that God wants us to have a greater impact that we are having.

I don’t think that God wants to make necessarily make us a well known church or a mega-church or anything like that.  I do know, however, that He wants us to be effective.  He wants us to change our corner of the world by bringing lost children home again and by healing and restoring broken people.  I am confident that He wants us to be mightily effective in our efforts to change lives in these ways!

Obviously, I believe with all my heart that God has been with us since the beginning and we have seen countless lives change in ways that simply blow my mind but I sense that we are being called to a greater level of effectiveness and impact.

This verse comes to mind…

Be very careful, then, how you live–not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.   Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV)

Will you join me in claiming this verse for Fusion and asking God to help us reach our full God-given potential?  Ask Him to give us the wisdom necessary to make the most of every opportunity.
