So, How Did It Go?

I’d like to ask those of you that fasted this week how it went.  What was your fasting experience like?

It went well for Sarah and I. It was great to focus in more.

It was probably the best fast I’ve ever done. It was great for me. I really sensed a clarity and fresh focus on God. It was the closest I’ve felt to God in a while.

I agree with the above: it was the best fast I’ve ever done, which I attribute to the excellent message you taught on fasting the week before. I’d always allowed previous fasts to be “diets” instead of fasts; I would not eat, but I wouldn’t necessarily devote my meal time to prayer and focus. But I got to do that this time, and I felt a great sense of closeness to God. It was definitely the happiest time of not-eating I’ve ever had!
