When I finally left church yesterday, after the newcomer’s lunch, I found a gift bag waiting for me on my Jeep.  Inside the gift bag was a copy of Superman: Sunday Classics 1939-1943.  It’s a very cool book.  It’s a huge, hardback book, sort of like a coffee table book.  Anyway, it’s a great gift and I’m very glad to have it.  It looks so cool that I’m not sure whether to read it or display it.

Unfortunately, there was no tag or card in the bag so I’m not sure who to thank.  Whoever you are, I want you to know that I appreciate it.  Thanks!

I heard that Pixar really didn’t want to make a Toy Story 3 and that only after Disney threatened to make it without them did they decide to do it.  They really just didn’t want to Disney to make it alone which would have been a disaster for sure.  It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

I’m concerned that too many pastors in the church planting scene are trying to look like rock stars. I know that I sound like a stick in the mud and I’m certainly not known as a fashion icon or anything so perhaps I don’t know what I’m talking about but the more I hang around church planters the more I’m seeing this trend…

We lost both Farrah and Michael Jackson today.  It makes me feel old and a bit sad.  It feels like big chunks of my childhood are fading away.
