Sunday Stuff 06-21-2009 (Monday Edition)
I’m getting this Sunday Stuff out very late. Sorry about that.- It was great to be back at Fusion yesterday. I can’t tell you all how bad I missed our church.
- I think we had a great service.
- The band did a great job with everything.
- They opened the service with Eye of the Tiger. I really wanted to jump on stage and start throwing punches. Thankfully, I didn’t do that. ;)
- The band also did a great Daughtry song, It’s Not Over.
- I enjoyed teaching about Daniel. Daniel is an amazing character.
- We showed the Mandles video too. You can check it out again at the bottom of this Sunday Stuff. Very funny.
- We gave all the dads a flashlight thing. (Did any of you guys get it to work? Remember, you’ve got to read the directions!)
- Stephen Lowe did a great job with the open and the close. It was his first time but he didn’t seem nervous at all.
- Jason Smith did another outstanding job on the set. He always adds something that exceeds my expectations.
- I heard that Tadd did a great job over at Revolution. I can’t wait to listen to the podcast.
- Speaking of podcasts, they finally put up the podcast of my message at Revolution. You can check it out here. (Tadd’s is also up now.)
- Thanks to everyone that prayed for my buddy, Tadd. I know he appreciated it.
- As an extra treat, I got to have a quick dinner with Tadd (and Frank!) and we had a great time. I love Tadd. I so thankful for his friendship. He’s one in a million.
- I’ve got to be honest and say that my birthday was pretty lame last week. Spending your birthday without your family just doesn’t work.
- We ended up celebrating my birthday tonight though and it was great to just be with my wonderful wife and my amazing kids.
- After church yesterday, my family wanted to take me out for Father’s Day. I got to choose and I selected Garden Buffet. That’s was a huge mistake.
- Even though I’ve really enjoyed that place in the past, everything there yesterday was nasty with a scoop of extra nasty on the side. Ugh!
- I’m now calling it a meal mulligan and I’m trying to convince my fam to take me out again next weekend! We’ll see. :)
- I can’t even begin to express how great it is to have my family home with me again!
- God is good!
- Later.
