Going Public

bullhorn

Yesterday, I challenged people to “go public” with their God-given dreams.  Now, I’m sitting here wondering if anybody did it.  Did you?  Did you go public with your dream?  If so, please post a comment here and let me know.

If you didn’t, you could do it here right now.  Why wait?  Step out in faith and declare your intention to follow God’s dream for your life!

Sun30When I think about yesterday, I’m just so very thankful.

  • I’m thankful for how the Lord showed up.
    • I felt His presence in a powerful way yesterday as I taught.
    • Nothing happens without the Lord moving and He came and did His thing yesterday.
  • I’m thankful for our awesome band.
    • Those guys can play just about anything and do it well.
    • I so appreciate the fact that we’ve got so much talent on stage and not a single diva attitude among them.
  • I’m thankful for our Fusioneers!

    • I’m always thankful for them but watching so many folks get soaked by the rain as they served the Lord by loading the trailers was and is inspiring.
    • Thank you so dreaming with me and working towards the dream God has given us!
  • I’m thankful for the Bucklands.
    • I mentioned it yesterday during the service but let me say again that I’ll never forget how you guys stood by me when I had nothing but a dream in my heart.
  • I’m thankful for my amazing wife!
    • Only in heaven will the whole story be told of everything you’ve done for me and for Fusion.
    • I love you more than words can express!
  • I’m thankful for all the visitors we had yesterday.
    • God has been so good to us and He continues to bring people to Fusion!
  • I’m thankful for all the people want to help with our new youth ministry!
    • I can’t believe how many folks showed up to express interest in volunteering to help with the youth.
    • I also can’t believe the caliber of people the Lord brought to that meeting.
  • I’m thankful for how the Lord came and refreshed me last night.
    • I had a brief but powerful time of personal worship at the office with the Lord and it was amazing.
  • I’m thankful for our new building.
    • Yes, it’s behind schedule and it might not be the biggest church building in the world but it’s from God and it’s ours.
    • I love watching it come together bit by bit.  It just feels like God’s hand is on the whole thing.
  • I’m thankful I get to do this with my life.
    • Even though it’s often hard and I find myself consistently challenged and stretched, I’m so glad I get to be a pastor.

Verse for the Day

This verse has really been speaking to me lately.  I hope that it speaks to you too.

“Know this: God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon.” Deut. 7:9a (Msg)

Discover God’s Dream for You

Dreamsicle-Web-GraphicDreamsicle continues tomorrow and I’m beyond excited about it!  We’re going to be talking about one of my favorite subjects as we explore how to discover God’s specific dream for your life.  I’m certain that God is going to show up in a major way.  It’s just going to be flat out awesome.

Don’t miss tomorrow!

Divine Dreams Are Often Delayed

Sands of Time

Sands of TimeLast Sunday at Fusion, I taught about dreams that are from God and I spoke specifically about how that even dreams that are true, and inspired by Him, are often delayed.  Well, I guess that was God preparing us because a couple of days ago we learned that our dream of moving into our new building is going to be delayed a bit.

Our landlord has been having some problems with permits and that has pushed everything back.  At first, he thought he could compensate for the delays but now he’s telling us that he needs at least four more weeks.  That means that instead of moving in September, it now looks like we’re going to be moving into the building in October.  This is all a little disappointing, to be sure, but it’s par for the course.

The truth is that while we may be delayed, we will not be denied!   It’s coming.  We’ve just got to hang on.

Please keep praying and I’ll keep you all updated as we learn more.

Proud

revolution-logoRecently, Revolution Church celebrated their five year anniversary.  That’s a milestone for any church plant and I praise God for everything He’s done in and through that great church over the years!

I also want to take a minute to publicly express how proud I am of the leadership of Revolution.  They have led that church through some of the hardest stuff a church can go through.  My hat is off to each of them (Tim May, Preston Porter, Chad Elliott and Thad Wood) for safely navigating Revolution through the shark-infested waters.  The whole leadership team has consistently given Revolution everything they’ve got and they should be commended for it.

I especially want to single out Tim May who had the weight of the world unexpectedly thrust upon his shoulders and has handled it well while keeping Revolution on track.

By all reports, Revolution is still loving God, serving others and generally doing it’s thing which is a testament to the leadership, the entire staff, the amazing volunteers, and, ultimately, the Lord!

Inventive

I thought this video was pretty cool.  It won some sort of contest from HP.  I don’t know how much of it is special effects but it’s inventive regardless.  Enjoy.

Thaw Your Frozen Dreams

Dreamsicle-Blog-Header

Dreamsicle-Web-Graphic

We’re starting a brand new series this weekend and I’m really excited about it.  It’s called Dreamsicle and it’s all about how God gives us dreams and the steps it takes to see those dreams fulfilled.

The truth is that God has a dream for each of us and one of the greatest adventures in this life is to discover that dream and live it out!  Unfortunately,  many times people seem to never discover their dream or, even worse, they find out what it is only to get frozen somewhere along the way.

In this series, we’re going to look at God’s blueprints for our lives and we’ll discover how He imparts His dreams to us as well as how to thaw those dreams when they seem hopelessly frozen…or even dead.

It all starts this Sunday.  Don’t miss it.
