Sunday Stuff 11-01-2009
I’m sorry that this Sunday Stuff is a little late. For some reason people get nervous or worried when I don’t post a Sunday Stuff. Everything is fine. Sometimes I just don’t have the time to write anything on Sunday. Anyway, here goes…
- Yesterday was probably the best Sunday we’ve had since the move into the building (and that’s saying a lot).
- The house was packed and the energy was off the charts!
- The band was amazing. The music was great!
- Chad pushed it over the top with his expert cowbell playing during the feature song.
- I know he was a little out of shape but he did a great job. I think the fever got to him. :)
- You know, I think we saw the birth of a new cowbell ministry yesterday. (It will be a traveling ministry for sure.)
- I thought it was weird, slightly creepy, and very effective to have the coffin in the room.
- I’ll be honest and say that the message stretched me a bit.
- I usually preach on my practical fare but it was good to branch out a bit.
- We had a lot of fun, as always, but we also had some very tense moments yesterday. It was a good mix.
- Over in KidZone, we beta tested a new self-serve check-in kiosk system and that went well. We’ll probably flesh that out more over the next few weeks.
- I was absolutely floored by the number of folks that came to Dave Ramsey meeting we had last night!
- It was a good crowd and we had a great time.
- My good friend, Angela Buckland, had her birthday yesterday too. I can’t tell you how thankful I am for her and her husband. What an awesome family! Happy Birthday, Kiddo!
- I’d appreciate your prayers this week as I wrestle with some questions facing the church.
- Also, please pray for the upcoming launch of our new youth ministry!
- That’s it for now. Gotta run.
- Later.
