I can’t help it. I get so very reflective at this time of year. I’m not sure exactly why but it happens every year. I start to think a lot about what’s really important in life. I start thinking about my wonderful wife, my amazing kids and all the other great folks God has brought into my life and I get very thankful. I’ve been working on a talk for a funeral I’m doing today and it has done nothing but magnify this already intense feeling of thankfulness that I have. With that in mind, I’d like to say the following…

Folks, do whatever you’ve got to do to tell the people you care about how much they mean to you. Tell them how much you love them and how blessed you are to have them in your life. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Do it today. Call them. Shoot them an email. Send them a text. Just do it.

Then, stop and thank God for every good thing He has given. Give Him thanks today. Find a quiet moment and literally thank Him for all He has done for you.
