I dropped my iPhone recently and cracked the corner of my screen.  Seeing the crack everyday really bugged me so I decided to get one of those skins that comes with a front piece that matches the back.  I like the slogan “Keep Calm and Carry On” so I opted for that designed and placed the order.

Once it arrived I put it on my phone and immediately felt a little weird about the whole thing.  My phone started looking a lot less tech and a lot more Mattel.  I can’t describe it completely but the red color really made the whole thing look like a toy.  I thought I’d get over it but I found myself not wanting to pull my phone out around others because I was sort of embarrassed about the whole thing.

I told my lovely wife about the whole thing and she said it looked fine and I shouldn’t worry about it.  Then, she joking added, “Plus, I like the princess crown on the top.”  Now, I feel like I have a princess play phone.

I think I’m just going to throw it away, get a real play phone that makes some cool sounds, and have some real fun with it.
