Rough Night & Day

We didn’t get much sleep last night at the McCollum home.  My youngest son, Matthew, had a fever that jump up pretty high and wouldn’t come back down with medication.  He also was having difficulty breathing.  We called the doctor and they told us to bring him to the ER.

Once there, they gave him all sorts of stuff including some breathing treatments but they couldn’t get his oxygen levels up where they wanted them so they admitted him to the hospital and, after a long wait, finally moved him to a room.

I must say that I’m really proud of him.  He’s been a real trooper through the whole thing.  Even with a tube up his nose and a horrible blood collection incident.

He’s been doing better as the day has progressed.  We’re hoping that they might discharge him tonight.  We’ll hear from the doctor around 6 PM.

For those that heard about it from me earlier in the day, thanks so much for the prayers.

I’ll keep you guys updated as we learn more.
