Best Loved

A couple of years ago, I visited Journey Church in Norman, OK, for a little conference or something.  It was an interesting visit and I learned a lot during my brief stay there.  One thing Pastor Clark Mitchell said in passing has stuck with me though.  He said that his goal was for his wife to be the best loved woman in his church.  He went on to say that he felt that he needed to do that mainly because she was his wife and he wanted to lover her in that way but also because he wanted to model that for the rest of the men in his church.  That’s my goal too.  I want my wife to be the best loved woman in my church.

  1. I must say that you don’t have to work too hard to make that goal a reality. Amy is awesome! She’s beautiful, intelligent, tallented, has a great sense of humor (she married one of the funniest guys around), and she is just so darn cool. I do love the way that you dote on her in public. It is a wonderful example of how a husband and wife should be towards each other.
