Sweeping the Nation

Well, I’ve had my Timbuk2 bag for a few weeks now and I still love it.  In fact, I’m loving it more everyday as I get used to it.  That’s cool because I usually start to notice things in the first few weeks that bug me so I think I’m off to a good start.

My only regret is that I didn’t join some sort of Timbuk2 affiliate program or something.  When I ordered my bag, the late, great Gary Lamb decided to order one too.  Then Tadd Grandstaff ordered one and then Brad Martin ordered one.  Beyond that, several other bloggers (like this guy) have expressed interest in the bags too.  Man, I wish I had a cut of the action!  It’s going to be really funny to see all these Timbuk2 bags at the next big conference!

While I’m on the topic, I’d like to extend an olive branch to my backpack wearing brethren.  There has been a heated debate about bags and backpacks and I think it’s time to let the healing begin.  Brothers, I say that there is neither backpack or bag in Christ.  All are one.  Let’s lay our differences down and move on.

  1. You relevant preachers are just watering down the truth. This is a man purse. Using your new translations of the internet you conveniently sway people to your way of shallow way of thinking – but there is no depth. Sure you can put your silly PC in it – but would you trust it with a MacBook Pro? I went to the timbuk2 site – good grief the thing even has instructions for how to wear it. What man reads instructions? Backpacks do not come with instructions because men know how to use them.
This may be worthy of a rebuttal post on my blog later.
