I found this incredibly inspiring.
I’ll be honest. I almost cried when I watched it. I guess I just get moved when people discover their real God-given talents and use them. I honestly believe every person on this planet is amazing in some way and I just love to see folks defying the odds and negative expectations of others.
You know, I can’t tell you how many people (some close to me) have told me over the years that I couldn’t do this or that. I realize that, like the guy in the video, I may not look the part and maybe you don’t either. Perhaps you don’t fit the mold or expectations of others but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that God has a calling and a purpose for your life and you simply must do it.
Don’t ever let other people steal your dreams from you. It doesn’t matter what they think. It doesn’t matter what they say. Hold on to your God-given dreams and swing for the fence. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you are anything short of amazing.

I teared up… what do you mean you almost cried? It really hit me the exact same way as you… Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

WOW – I followed this from Robert Pooley’s blog – what an inspiration. I’m visiting my parents in Georgia and played it for my wife and mom, both of whom joined me in the tears. What an inspiration and God-given gift. Hope he stays as humble as he has been up to now.

Very moving. Very cool.
BTW, that’s a lot more talent than we’ve seen on the American version so far this season.
