I know that I haven’t been blogging much. Honestly, I can’t remember a time when I’ve been so busy but I do want to tell you all about just a few of the great things that are going on at Mill Creek these days.
First, I just can’t get over how great all our new ministry team leaders are doing. We’ve been meeting on Monday nights and the excitement and energy in these meetings is simply incredible.
Speaking of great energy, we’ve had Doug Rasku in to help us out at the office lately and he’s simply incredible. He was formerly the children’s pastor at Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale and he’s as sharp as they come. He’s been consulting for us and helping us get ready for the move. I really dig this guy. He’s being courted by a megachurch in the area and I can see why they are eager to snatch him up.
We also had the guys from Cornerstone Media out to consult for us regarding our A/V needs for the new theater. Seth was really impressed with those guys and I know they’re going to help us have an incredible audio and video experience on Sundays.
Tonight, I had the first of our orientation meetings with a couple of our ministry teams. I love getting an opportunity to meet with our volunteers face to face. It’s exciting to talk with them about the future of the church and how their team fits into the picture. I still have a lot of orientation meetings to go through but I’m really looking forward to every one of them. We have some great, great volunteers at our church.
Well, that’s it for now. I’ll post more later.
