My Car Feels Good

As a late birthday present, I used some gift cards that I had been saving and I got a new stereo for my car the other day.  I was wanting one that would allow me to connect my iPod.  (The radio transmitter method of connecting an iPod doesn’t really work.  It’s a scam!)  Anyway, I got a Sony unit and I opted for the additional iPod connector.

My iPod just plugs into a connector in my glove box and I can control it from my stereo.  It charges the iPod too.  It’s great to hear my music without any static or crossover from radio stations.  It’s pretty cool.

The funny thing about it is that the connector seems to reset my iPod and it automatically plays the same song first no matter what I do.  It does this every time I crank the car.

Guess which song it randomly chose to play!  No, go ahead and guess.   I’ll wait.  Give up?  Well, it’s “I Feel Good” by James Brown.  (I didn’t even know that song was on my iPod!)  I guess I could delete the song from my iPod but it makes me laugh that whenever I start my car it screams, “I feel good!”
