Offering Receptacles

We’ve been using wicker baskets to received the offering since we started the church and I’m looking to make a change as we move.  What do you other pastors out there use?  What have you seen other churches use?  We obviously don’t want anything churchy, cheesy or weird but we would like to vary it up a bit.

  1. I have an idea… how about Kentucky Fried Chicken buckets. LOL I have to attend this Baptist teachers convention every year and they use these to take up a “special ” offering for missions. I can’t help but laugh when they bring out the buckets. They are clean and never used but , come on buckets? LOL Can’t you just see the old Col’s bucket in church? Kathy

  3. You can buy smaller plain white paint buckets from Home Depot or Lowe’s that make a nice, but plain appearance to take offering in. I could give you our nice, shiny gold and solver offering plates with the red velvet on the bottom, but I’d have a few people mad at me….:-)
