Thursday Brain Dump

  • I’m really digging pandora and last.fm.  Pandora seems to do better picking the music I like though.
  • I’m not getting anywhere on my sermon today.  I think God wants to take it in another direction.
  • I got to google talk with Stephen Lowe for a bit yesterday.  I miss that dude and his whole family.  I can’t wait for them to get back.
  • I found this clip funny.  You probably have to be a superman fan to really enjoy it though.
  • I’m looking forward to The Office tonight.  It’s got to be the funniest show on TV right now.
  • I had some email problems today that were embarrassing.
  • I’ve got a macbook pro in my office that I keep playing with.  I think I could make the leap except for my addiction to PlanPlus.
  • Finally!  (Actually, this is really gross.  I just couldn’t pass up the joke.)
  • I love the show Kitchen Nightmares.  (More on that later.)
  • I’ve decide to kill the next message series and do something else.
  • The new guy, Adam, is funny.  Not funnier than me but funny.
  • I’m still trying to find a web designer that I like.
  • Mint.com is very, very cool…but slightly depressing.  (Try it.  It’s free!)
  • I’m encouraged to see the folks already signing up for the prayer team.  Very cool.
  • I’m really excited about my men’s group starting next week.  It looks like we’re going to have a great group of guys.
  • I miss Shannon.  I think I’m going to offer her a bribe to come back early!
  • I need a hobby.  I keep thinking about beekeeping which is probably one of the worst ideas I’ve ever had but I just keep thinking about it.  Then again, when do I have time for a hobby?  Perhaps I need to find some sort of virtual beekeeping program for my PC.
  • Some day I’m going to do a message series about spiritual warfare/the devil and just call it “The Jerk”.
  • My boys and I are getting addicted to Age of Kings II.  I am so not a gamer but I like the strategy aspect of it.
  • I’m reading a book right now that could absolutely revolutionize my life if I applied the principles.  The problem is that I don’t know if I want to apply the principles.
  • Do you hate facebook? Perhaps this is the solution for you.
  • Speaking of facebook, I put an “honesty box” on my profile.  This allows anyone to tell me what they really think.  I’m scared.  We’ll see what happens.
