People looked down on Timothy because they thought he was too young. Sarah laughed at Abraham because she thought they were both too old. There’s always some age-related excuse. Don’t let age stop you.
Don’t tell God you’re too old or too young for him to use. You’re not too old to start reading your Bible even though you’ve never done it before. You’re not too old to start praying. You’re not too old to start serving. Neither are you too young to launch that ministry or great venture.
Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he wrote the Declaration of Independence. John Adams was 40 when he argued for independence. George Washington was 43 when he took his first command of a real army.
To some, those may see young. To others, they may seem old. I can tell you in church planting circles those guys are ancient! :) Regardless of your view point, the truth is that age doesn’t matter. What matters is that you take whatever opportunities that God presents you with and that you run with them with everything you’ve got.
You’re never too young or too old to be stretched or to grow. It’s never too early or too late for God to move in your life. Never.
