Whatever your take on the bail out congress is pondering, I think we’d all agree that the “sweetening” they added to the recent bill is beyond excuse.  If this bill really is an emergency measure, why are they adding so much pork to it?

It as if our representatives simply can’t write a bill these days without building pork into every inch.  I heard last night there’s even a tax break in it for companies that make toy wooden arrows.  Come on!  Does that really need to be included in this already colossal bail out.  We need some real leadership in congress and I simply haven’t seen it from either party.

As I’ve said in another post, I don’t think that pastors or churches should endorse candidates but this whole bail out process sure makes me think that we need to bring in people into Washington from outside the establishment ASAP.
