Monday Morning Thoughts

  • We had a really good day at Fusion yesterday.
  • I preached another looooong message.  I’ve got to work on getting my sermon length back down.
  • I think I preached to myself as much as to anyone else yesterday.
  • We had some sort of problem recording the message so I don’t know whether or not we’re going to be able to podcast it.
  • Another wave of first time visitors yesterday.  That’s so cool.
  • I hope the message connected with everyone.  I think it did but I never really know.
  • One of the hardest things for me is to see people hurting and not be able to help them.
  • Seth and the band did a great job.  I loved the feature song!
  • We may have an office move in our future.
  • Our volunteers are amazing!
  • I’ve got some strategic decisions to make this week.  Please pray for wisdom for me.
  • My daughter was coming off of a fever yesterday so she sat in the service with Amy.  I’m not sure she knew what to think of my message.  She did like one joke I shared about the remote control which she kept telling her brothers.
  • More changes are coming my way.  I can sense it.
  • I’ve been preaching more than teaching lately.  I’m not sure how long that’s going to continue but it feels right for now.
  • I think the online prayer thing went well.  I’m considering doing it again.
  • I’m looking for ways to foster eruptions of prayer throughout our church.
  • I watched SNL last night.  It was pretty funny.  The debate parody was spot on.
  • I was indoors most of the afternoon but when I stepped outside I was blown away by the weather.  I love this time of year.
  • Big week ahead.
  • That’s all for now.
