Money is Vastly Overrated

This is something that I posted over a year ago but I felt like I was supposed to post it again today.  Enjoy.

I’m so tired of people telling potential church planters that they need X number of dollars before they can plant a church.

Let’s be honest, you do need money to do a lot of things in the ministry and I understand that a lack of money can often hinder a church plant but God has more than enough money and He can cause all sorts of things to happen to help you when you plant a church.

We had no money when we launched.  We were using borrowed equipment and meeting in a movie theater we couldn’t afford.  (The theater billed us 30 days out so we were literally meeting there without the ability to pay for it and the Lord carried us through.)

The bottom line is that you’ve got to know that you’re called and if you are then He will take care of you.  In fact, if you had everything in place financially before you launched I’d be afraid you weren’t stepping out in faith.  Remember, without faith it’s impossible to please God.

IF you’re called, do your best to raise a much money as you can and then move ahead no matter what.
