Some quick takes from Unleash 2009
- Perry Noble did a great job again, as always. You never know exactly what he’s going to say but it’s always good stuff.
- I love our fusioneers! We’ve got some of the best volunteers in the world.
- Fusioneers: I’m so glad that we had an opportunity to spend the day together! I really appreciate all you guys that took time off AND paid your own way to go! I hope that the Lord really blessed you yesterday and that He continues to do so.
- I love my staff. A “field trip” with my staff is always a lot of fun.
- It was great to connect with Tim Skinner and Mark Ayers, two awesome pastors, on the bus ride up and back. We had some great conversations.
- At the senior pastor’s lunch, I got to sit beside my good friend, Tadd Grandstaff. It was so great to reconnect with him. I think the world of Tadd and I never get enough time with him. I’m telling you that he’s one church leader to watch.
- My dear friend, Gary Lamb, was at the table too and, as always, it was great to see him. I just love that dude. The big news was that Gary’s wife, DeAnna, was with him and Amy was with me too. It was the first time that our better halves had met and they seemed to really hit it off.
- I also got to see some of my favorite pastors like Jeff Kapusta, David Reid, Chris Elrod, Dave Anderson (and his wonderful wife), Joe Case, Jim Carpenter (and his wife and son!) and a bunch of others!
- I also got to hang out with my friend the one and only, Charlie Pharis, at one of the sessions. Charlie is one of the greatest guys on the planet and it’s always an honor to get to hang with him.
- Truthfully, I’m still processing everything that Perry said yesterday. I feel like the Lord spoke through him to me on several points. It will take me days to work my way through it all.
- BTW, the Unleash volunteers were amazing. The handwritten notes on the way out blew me away. Great job, folks!
agreed…the notes were over the top!
saw you, but it didn’t look like a bright yellow unitard…almost missed you because i was looking for it.
Dude, you should have said hello. I would have loved to connect with you. If you ever make it Buford area let me know and I’ll buy you lunch!
