I can’t remember a time when there has been so much opportunity to reach people for Jesus. We are truly living in an incredible season. God is allowing everything to be shaken so that people everywhere might wake up and see that He is the only true foundation. He’s using these times of major transition to call people back to Himself.
It’s during times like these that our church must step forward in faith and shine our light for all to see. We must do whatever we can to help point people to Jesus. Jesus said…
Let your light shine in front of people. Then they will see the good that you do and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16b (GW)
I learned a long time ago that people aren’t interested in swimming lessons until they find themselves in the deeper end of the pool. As long as their feet can touch the bottom they don’t really pay that close attention to the swimming instructor but once they know that they are in a sink or swim situation the information the instructor is sharing becomes VERY important to them.
It’s the same way about spiritual things. Most people just aren’t that interested until they find themselves in some sort of situation beyond their control. To be sure, they’ll listen politely during times of calm but it’s only when the storms are raging that they really pay attention and are ready to do something about it.
We are living through a time of change and transition that hasn’t been seen in our country for at least 75 years and people know it. They are waking up and realizing what’s really important and what isn’t.
This is why we announced a couple of weeks ago that it’s time for the folks of Fusion to step up like never before and make our presence known in the community. We must stand out so that we can speak out. We must get the attention of the people of the surrounding areas so that we can point those folks to Jesus.
Next Sunday, we will be receiving a special offering called our “Advance Offering.” This offering will help us to let the community know the Fusion is here and, more importantly, that Fusion is here to help them. We are going to use it to make several major pushes to invite the community to come to Fusion so that we can show them the love of Christ and introduce them to the ONE PERSON that can truly help and heal and save them!
Fusion, it’s time to shine. It’s our time to shine the light that God has given us. It’s our time to step up and impact our community like never before!
Will you please join me in praying for use to reach our full potential? Will you pray that God uses Fusion to impact the lives of thousands of people? Will you ask God to help us to make the most of this opportunity? Will you also ask Him what He might have you to give to help us to reach out repeatedly to our community?
