There’s an amazing little story in the Old Testament about Moses.  He had been spending time with God on Mount Sinai and something interesting happened to him…

Moses came down from Mount Sinai, carrying the Ten Commandments. His face was shining brightly because the Lord had been speaking to him. But Moses did not know at first that his face was shining. Exodus 34:29 (CEV)

That’s pretty cool if you ask me.  The truth is that everyone that follows the Lord should be doing something similar.  Check this verse out…

And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more. 2 Cor. 3:18 (NLT)

As Christ followers, we should always…

1.  Be Attentive: We must invest the time and energy necessary to be attentive to God in every way.  By that I mean that we must give Him our attention and that we must also attend to the things He asks us to do.  This boils down to spending time with Him everyday and obeying Him as He leads and directs us.

2.  Be Reflective: We must also reflect what we receive from Him back out to others.  Being with God and hearing from Him is awesome but we’re not done until we act on what we’ve heard AND share it with others.  We are called to reflect His light, His glory, to both those that know Him and those that don’t.  We reflect Him to those that know Him so that they might be encouraged and inspired to draw even closer to Him.  We reflect Him to those that don’t know Him so that they might see His goodness and come to Him.
