People often say that God “is never early but He’s always right on time” or something to that effect.  I understand the statement but I don’t know if I agree with it.  I think God is early a lot more than we think but the problem is that when He’s early we just don’t tend to notice it.  We only seem to give Him (and His timeliness) real attention when we are running out of time.

Let me ask you a question.  How many bills were you able to pay on time last month?  That’s God.  How many trips did you make without running out of gas last week?  That’s God.  How many days were you well (not sick) last month?  That’s God.  That’s God taking care of you and providing for you well before you needed it.

Stop right now and thank Him for what you do have.  Thank Him for taking care of you right now and not waiting until the last minute.  Thank Him for being early with so many things.

I know that God is always on time.  He’s on His time.  He’s never late but He’s often early.
