One of my goals for 2010 is to be a lot more transparent here on my blog. Those of you that know me know that at my core I’m a private man so that’s probably not going to be too easy for me but I feel that it’s important to chronicle some of the things that I’m going through right now. The truth is that God has been giving me some bold ideas and some outrageous goals and I think it might be helpful to flesh some of that out here…or at least attempt to explain them.
So, I guess this post is a bit of a warning that things are going to get pretty honest here and with that a little messy too. If you’re the type that likes to think that pastors are bullet proof, superhuman or anything other than normal folks, you might want to stop reading my blog.
I don’t imagine that there’s going to be this big night and day change here but I’m sure you will indeed see a transformation within a couple of months.
You have been warned. :)
I must admit that I was a little apprehensive about clicking on this post when I read your Tweet and the title included “From the Home Office – Naked” :). However, I applaud your willingness to be more transparent. I think that leaders tend to feel like they have to be brave and appear strong to everyone, but then that just contributes to the isolation and loneliness they deal with, as “regular” people often feel like they can’t relate. I think this a bold step in the right direction. Blessings to you along the way!
Thanks for your encouragement, Kiddo! I knew you’d appreciate this new direction.

Hey Tony… I am trying to catch up on my blog reading and saw this post. I am so thankful that you are willing to share this type of info. Most days are such a struggle for me, and it will be great to see that I am not the only one struggling.
