I just finished reading the day 17 selections and I think that more than anything else the amount of prayer that is mentioned just blows me away. Again and again Paul talks about how he’s praying for folks. He also tells them to pray at all times and to always give thanks. I pray a good bit but I think God is challenging me to make prayer a constant activity in my life. There have been seasons in my life where that was the case and it’s now my goal to be that way again.
What about you? What is God saying to you through what we’ve been reading?
I have to say that Ephesians is officially my most favorite book in the Bible (so far anyway). That book is just chocker-block full of great advice on how to live! I would say that if a person only wanted to read one small part of the Bible, Ephesians is definitely the place to start! It just made me feel really good when I read it – that’s the best way I can describe it. I’m still very focused on reading the NT28 challenge on time, but I’ll definitely be going back to the book of Ephesians. Watch out Old Testament…you’re next!
