Well, we finished up Acts today and it was pretty awe inspiring. Those early believers sure did go through a lot! Most of the reading was about Paul, his conversion, and his travels. That dude’s life reads like an action movie to me. I love reading about him.
The idea of encouragement kept getting my attention. People were always encouraging one another. Did anybody else notice that?
What stood out to you?
I would have never thought that I would be able to keep up with the reading but I shut the TV off and it has been amazing. I should be on time this evening. It has been a lot to take in in a short period of time!

I’m a couple of days behind here, but I was impressed by the way that Paul kept using any and every opportunity to tell people about Jesus. He told crowds, prisoners, guards, governors, and kings, and at the end of the book is waiting around to tell Caesar. And, while he’s waiting, he’s welcoming all who visit him, telling them about Jesus as well. That dude had a one-track mind! May all of our minds be on that same track, and may we speak confidently to all those whom God puts in our lives.

My impression was similar to Davis. Paul used every opportunity he could to teach about Jesus. Nothing could stop him. Even the ship wreck was an opportunity for him. With God behind him, Paul was unstoppable!
