I’ve tried to hide this fact for years but the truth is that I like bowling. I’m not entirely sure why I like it but I do. I’m not particularly good at it but I still enjoy it. I just wish that there was a bowling alley closer to our house.
Yesterday, Amy and I took the kids to Stars and Strikes in Cumming. We had a great time. The place is nicer than most bowling alleys and there’s a big arcade with bumper cars there too. The kids had a blast and so did Amy and I.
They had a package deal that worked out to be about the same as taking all of us to the movies so we gave it a shot. The package included two hours of bowling along with some food and some arcade cards for the kids.
We all bowled together for the first hour or so and then the kids were ready to hit the arcade. They did that while Amy and I bowled by ourselves. (The game goes a lot faster when the kids aren’t bowling!)
I’m sad to report that Amy skunked all of us every time but I still enjoyed it. If I’m going to lose to anyone, I want to lose to my sweet Amy.
As I said, we had a great time. It actually got me wondering whether or not there might be others that would step forward and also confess their love of bowling. If there’s enough, perhaps we could schedule a big bowling party at Fusion. Who’s in?
Beyond all that, I always find myself thinking about joining a league whenever I go bowling. I don’t think that I’m good enough though. Maybe I could join a league for children or the elderly. I think I could really shine in a league like that. :)

We love to bowl too! There is a bowling alley in Buford, it’s over by the park & ride. Their website is http://www.oasisbowl.com/Buford/. It’s only a few years old so it’s still fairly clean. :)
