Pastors, Shut Up!

Here’s the deal.  Not everything God says to you needs to be blogged or tweeted or taught.  Sometimes God wants to share something with just you and that’s okay.

Beyond that, sometimes God wants to share something with you and then He wants to let it simmer for a while before you share it with others.  It needs to cook before it’s ready to be served.  That’s okay as well.

I fear that too often we’re looking for the next great thing to tweet when spending time with God.  I’m sure that must be a little annoying to Him.

Don’t get me wrong.  I know God wants us to share a lot of what we learn but I am certain that there are some things that are to be kept just between you and Him.  Remember, shared private moments build intimacy in any relationship…even your relationship with God.

  1. You’re my hero :). Contrary to your title, I want to encourage you to keep challenging the status quo and thinking outside of the box the way you do. I feel it in my bones amazing things are going to happen.
