Mattie Lorenzen is an amazing little girl that goes to Fusion. Mattie, along with her equally amazing family, is participating in the Atlanta Energy for Life Walkathon. The walkathon is an event designed to support the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. Here’s a video of Mattie (along with her brother and sister) explaining a bit about the walk, mitochondrial disease, and Team Mattie.
I’m very excited to announce that I’ve decided to join Team Mattie and participate in this important event. Also, my family will be joining Team Mattie as well.
Now, if you know anything about me, you know that (1) I don’t do a lot of things outdoors because the sun is trying to kill me and (2) I don’t ask for money here on my blog but I’m making an exception for this important cause and, honestly, for Mattie.
I’m asking all of you that have ever received anything good from this blog, whether you know me personally or not, to help Mattie and the UMDF by sponsoring me on this one mile walk.
The cool thing is that you can do it all online. To sponsor me, all you have to do is go here and enter your info. (You can also go here to learn more about Team Mattie and other ways you can help.) I’ve set a goal of raising $200 but I really want to blow that amount out of the water and you can help make that happen!
Thank you for even considering helping out in this way. I truly appreciate anything you can give to help.
