Sometimes the most difficult thing the Lord can ask you to do is to wait patiently on Him.  Often we tell God we’re ready to do anything for Him but we refuse to wait when He tells us.  We’re like dogs that only know how to fetch and never learn how to stay.  The truth is, however, that it takes far more discipline and focus to attentively stay at the master’s feet than to run after sticks.

Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act.  Psalm 37:7 (NLT)
