While studying the Bible this morning, I was reminded that God commanded His people to have festivals. He actually commanded them to have parties where “no ordinary work” would be allowed. I’m glad I serve a God that isn’t always about being busy. He certainly wants us all to be productive, and enjoy our jobs too, but He’s as serious about parties as He is about productivity. He cares about us and wants us to enjoy life and not just always labor away.
