It Runs in the Family

I started blogging in 2004 and for the longest time I was the only blogger in my household but now all that has changed.  Suddenly, over half of my family members now have blogs of their own.  This didn’t happen because of some premeditated plan or anything.  It just so happened that my wife and two of my sons want to start blogs for different reasons.  Here’s the breakdown.

1.  JoyBabyDoula.com: My wonderful wife is in the process of getting her doula certification and she wanted a site to help chronicle her journey and share with everyone what was going on with her.  (Want to know what a doula is?  Then be sure to check out her site.)  I just built the site for her on Wednesday and she’s already a blogging pro.

2.  Gallifrey.co: My son, Zack, is a huge fan of Doctor Who and he pretty much knows just about everything you can know about the long-running British science fiction show.  His blog is dedicated to covering all things “Who” from the current stuff to the classic series.  He’s just getting rolling but I like what he’s doing with his blog.

3.  JoshMcCollum.com: As the name implies, my son Josh wanted his own blog and I set him up a couple of months ago.  His blog is an outlet for his sense of humor and his love of video games.  He posts game news and reviews.  He also posts comics he makes.  Josh is just about to turn 13 and become a true teenager.  He also gets his sense of humor from me.  That’s a pretty powerful combination so look out world!

If you get a chance, check out the blogs and show them some love.

  1. Tony,
Your sons’ writings are awesome! Amy (and you) have done a great job in teaching them both analytical skills and writing skills. Every month, I read statements by high- and middle-schoolers and never run across writing of the caliber shown by your sons. Congratulations!

  2. Thanks, Lauren. I think pretty highly of them too! :) Seriously, I couldn’t be more proud of who my boys are and who they are becoming.

    Thanks again!
